Yellowstone
Yellowstone is a geological wonder that has fascinated mankind for over 5,000 years. In 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park, this land mass covers an area of 3,468 square miles that border Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. My nephew and I camped here for three days, visiting several geysers, hot springs, and viewing the spectacular wildlife that thrive in the Lamar and Hayden Valleys.

~ Mammoth Hot Springs ~
Some of the first people to inhabit Yellowstone were the Shoshone, Bannocks, and Nez Perce. Hundreds of years ago, these people collected and used calcium carbonate from these terraces to make different colors of paint.
