Yellowstone
Yellowstone is a geological wonder that has fascinated mankind for over 5,000 years. In 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park, this land mass covers an area of 3,468 square miles that border Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. My nephew and I camped here for three days, visiting several geysers, hot springs, and viewing the spectacular wildlife that thrive in the Lamar and Hayden Valleys.

Some scientists have discovered that photosynthesis changes the colors of these small turquoise pools to a salmon color when the sun begins to drop below the horizon. These terraces were found at Mammoth Hot Springs.
