~ Land of the Lost ~
When I arrived at this 20 foot waterfall it was like stepping back into the Jurassic Period. It’s located at the bottom of a steep ravine in the Columbia River Gorge. The waterfall is surrounded by several different species of large ferns and vertical basalt cliffs on both sides of the creek. It was virtually unknown until recently discovered in 2006.
