Civilian Conservation Corps in the Mt. Hood Wilderness.

4 weeks agoThere are so many wonderful places, camps, etc built by the CCC and I would imagine most are still being used. I love this big rock chimney covered in snow. This is absolutely a stunning winter scene! Well shot Robert.

4 weeks agoWhy is it that the last thing standing of ruined buildings is always the fireplace and chimney? I've seen it so often in Scotland. I love the fact in this shot that someone has thought to put a picnic table near to it, I presume you can still set a fire in the hearth and get toasty at the table!!!!
