~ Clash of the Titans ~
About 50 miles offshore of the Oregon Coast is the Cascadia Fault Line. It’s the clashing point of two tectonic forces, the Juan De Fuca plate and North America plate. The diagonal rock in this image is part of the thicker continental plate that’s overriding the thinner oceanic plate.
