The ocean is a place to relax and watch the sun go down. These are some images of marine life, tide pools, caves, arches, and sunsets on the Oregon and Washington Coast.
The Cape Arago Lighthouse stands guard on Chiefs Island. It was originally built in 1866. Since then it has been rebuilt 3 times due to storm damage. The lighthouse you see today was built in 1934.

on December 22, 2015Interesting view of a lighthouse which, sadly, can no longer be visited by the public. It took me awhile to figure out that those concrete things at the base of the cliff are old bridge supports.
