~ Harbor Lights ~
This view looks over the mouth of the Yaquina River and the Newport Marina. The rock jetty provides temporary shelter for a large number of migrating seabirds and sea lions who come here to rest from the open ocean. It also acts a barrier to deflect the swift river currents away from the fishing boats.
