The ocean is a place to relax and watch the sun go down. These are some images of marine life, tide pools, caves, arches, and sunsets on the Oregon and Washington Coast.
These are California Sea Lions next to the F/V Winona J.
When they're out of the water the bulls go into defensive mode with their head raised and will usually confront any newcomers looking for dry ground.

on March 8, 2022The Sea Lions are such curious creatures, but I enjoy watching them although I've only seen them in southern California. And, thank you for the explanation of the body language. I wouldn't have been able to tell the males from the females without the info. What a wonderful scene and so very nicely captured. Love that the great red boat is behind them providing a wonderful bit of color.
