These are the jagged pinnacles and horizontal veins of Three Fingered Jack. They soar 7,841 ft high in the Cascade Range of Central Oregon. On my first attempt to photograph this meadow it rained hard and low clouds completely obscured the mountain. I was forced to retreat to my base camp at Suttle Lake. The next day provided me with ideal weather conditions and this view of wildflowers.
