On the evening before I took this image, it was about 95 degrees inside my tent for most of the night. I was doing everything I could to cool down after spending most of the day hiking and photographing the canyon walls. When I stepped outside to refill my water bottle, there was a brilliant full Moon to my right and a magnificent view of the Big Dipper to my left. It was simply a stunning night to go for a walk in the dark! I photographed this rock wall above the Crooked River on the following morning from the Rim Rock Trail.
