~ Union Street RR Bridge ~
This 722 ft truss bridge was built in 1913 for the Salem, Falls City and Western Railway. The last train to cross it was in the early 90's. It was eventually sold to the City of Salem for one dollar in 2003 and converted to a footbridge.

on February 14, 2022I'm thrilled to know that the old railroad bridge is being used for pedestrians. What a handsome structure this bridge has. And your night time shot with the perfect f stop is awesome to show the bursts from the lights. I haven't quiet mastered that in every night time image of mine. This is a fabulous photo!
