Opal Creek is one of my “best kept secrets” in Oregon. It has several waterfalls, deep pools, and narrow canyons that are just waiting to be photographed. Two things that keep me coming back are the massive old-growth trees (250’ high) and the pristine water that flows around every bend. It’s also one of the most popular creeks for kayaking in Oregon. This scene was taken on a chilly morning in early March.
