~ Middle North Falls ~
The North Fork of Silver Creek cascades down 109 feet after a heavy rainfall in the deep canyon of Silver Falls State Park.

This is one of several tributaries that eventually flows into the Little North Santiam River. In early 1900, this watershed was owned by the Santiam Copper Mine. Old remnants of mining equipment, log cabins, and wooden beams of a collapsed bridge can still be found today. Mining and logging were finally stopped 92 years later in one of the largest legal battles in Oregon history.
~ Vine Maple ~
This Pacific Northwest native is one of my favorite maple trees in Oregon. They usually grow about 20 feet high and are normally found in moist or shaded area’s within the forest. In the fall, their colors range from red, orange and yellow. This one was found at Silver Falls State Park.
~ Upper Butte Falls ~
This waterfall has a deep undercut edge that allows you to walk behind the wide 26 foot drop. It flows into this large pool and continues downstream toward several other waterfalls before arriving at its confluence with the Molalla River.
~ Around The Corner ~
Melting snow swells the Little North Santiam River in early March. This is a side view of Cascada De Los Ninos (Waterfall of the Children) or also known as Sawmill Falls. My objective was to capture this waterfall from the natural rock jetty you see in the background, however spray and mist instantly covered my lens. It’s known for some of the clearest-running water in the Pacific Northwest.

Height: 30 ft.
~ Huckleberry Pool ~
This small creek cascades gently over the side of this basalt rock wall. The pool is about 10 -12 feet deep, crystal clear and surrounded by mixed trees. It has an elevation of about 3,500 feet and can be found in the Cascade Range of Southwest, Washington.
~ Silver Falls State Park ~
The banks of Silver Creek are carpeted with maple leafs in late October. I hiked to several falls along the Canyon Trail after a heavy rainfall, this low perspective allowed me to capture these fall colors without the harsh spray from the bigger falls.
Silver Falls, Oregon
~ Punch Bowl Falls ~
One of my favorite waterfalls in Oregon. The natural basalt rock bowl, pristine water and green foliage make this gem one of the best in the Columbia River Gorge.

Height: 36 feet.
