This gallery is a collection of landscapes and seascapes throughout Oregon and Washington. My objective is to capture and experience the magic of nature within the place I call home. Enjoy and happy shooting!

~ Second Heaven ~
I grew up about 69 miles from this remote beach on the Olympic Peninsula. I always enjoy coming here to reminisce about my childhood and experience the natural beauty. Second Beach still looks the same since my last visit and it still continues to bring back many great memories.
~ Mossy Grotto Falls ~
When I arrived at this 20 foot waterfall it was like stepping back into the Jurassic Period. It’s located at the bottom of a steep ravine in the Columbia River Gorge. The waterfall is surrounded by several different species of large ferns and steep vertical basalt cliffs on both sides of the creek. It was virtually unknown until recently discovered in 2006.
~ Morning Glory ~
This is Mt. Adams and Takhlakh Lake located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. It’s a diverse landscape with plenty of old growth, fragile subalpine meadows, lava fields and high alpine terrain. I camped here for two days by myself and woke up at dawn to catch a glimpse of an Osprey. As luck would have it, no sign of the Osprey, but when the sun peeked over the tall trees - it was only a few minutes before the magic began to light up the sky.
This one is dedicated to an old friend, who has inspired me to become a better photographer and taught me how to capture the raw beauty of Nature.
~ Thor’s Well ~
This natural wonder is located on the Oregon Coast. It’s approximately twenty feet in diameter and about fifteen feet deep. Water enters through the bottom with an incredible amount of force and then shoots upward to heights of twenty feet, it quickly recedes down the walls and back out to sea before another large wave hits. I have been here four times and never seem to walk away with dry clothes.
~ Rising Moon ~
This was taken while backpacking solo for three days in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. I was fortunate to be in this location before the moon got too high above these trees near Russell Lake.
~ Mystic Waves ~
This is one of the largest sea caves in Oregon. For a short time each year, the sun is in the proper position to streak through and illuminate the cave. I was amazed to see the halo created by the light during this peak moment.
~ Ancient Forest ~
Opal Creek is one of my “best kept secrets” in Oregon. It has several waterfalls, deep pools, and narrow canyons that are just waiting to be photographed. Two things that keep me coming back are the massive old-growth trees (250’ high) and the pristine water that flows around every bend. It’s also one of the most popular creeks for kayaking in Oregon. This scene was taken on a chilly morning in early March.
~North Falls ~
This waterfall crashes down 136 feet on large basalt boulders of the North Fork at Silver Creek. The fast moving water eventually winds through this deep canyon and comes to a confluence next to the Lower South Falls. One of ten waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park.
~ Mt. Adams ~
Two friends and I camped next to this vast meadow located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. It’s very quiet and peaceful here, not too many people know about this place. We woke up at about 6:00 a.m. and I captured this image next to the trail.
